My mom always had great quotes (thoughts, statements, mantras, etc.) to share with me when I was growing up. I didn’t realize how much I missed them until I started seeing graphic quotes pop up on Pinterest (yes, I’m obsessed). Here are some of my favorite “words to live by” right now…

Before and After – Chairloom

As soon as I signed the lease on my new apartment (I moved in last weekend – hooray!), I started looking for some new pieces of furniture. I found the chair below on Chairloom and immediately fell in love. I had been looking for a red chinoiserie chair, but I thought this black bamboo had great potential.

After days of debate I finally picked out a great fabric from Schumacher (High Voltage in Berry) and had Chairloom recover it. I am so thrilled with the outcome! It looks fabulous in my living room! Many thanks to Molly at Chairloom!

On Wednesday, December 15th my friends at the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams store in Greenwich invited me to an event they co-hosted with Lonny Magazine. (To say I was excited would be a TOTAL understatement. It was a dream event – I LOVE MG and Lonny!) And, in all the craziness of the holiday season I never got a chance to post my photos from the FABULOUS evening.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Mitchell Gold, as well as Lonny co-founders, Michelle Adams and Patrick Cline. And for a $50 donation to the local United Way chapter, Lonny contributor and watercolor extraordinaire, Cailtin McGauley, painted my portrait. I really can’t say enough wonderful things about the entire evening and everyone I met. Still swooning!
