Let Them Eat Cake

6 Dec

I’ve been in love with Paul Ferney‘s collection of cake paintings for months. He just recently released a set of prints and I desperately want to buy them all. How do I justify hanging them in my house when I don’t even eat dessert?! Guess they’re just lovely and that’s the best excuse anyone could have!

Alex Bloom

5 Dec

Good graphic and packaging design always makes me smile. This designer, Alex Boom, makes me swoon.

I’m completely and madly obsessed with Pinterest. Have you heard of it? It’s an amazing site where you can “pin” images to your own online “bulletin boards”. It’s so easy and so much fun! Here’s my site – check it out!

Have you seen the amazing tarts and drawings by Miyuki Sakai in the June issue of Martha Stewart? Totally swoon-worthy! Makes me want to bust out my colored pencils and start drawing again.

I’m loving these posters from the Keep Calm Gallery (found via Black*Eiffel).

And…what’s better than this list of reasons to buy art?

Calligraphy Love

5 Apr

As you all know by now, I LOVE calligraphy. Something about a beautifully addressed envelope and handwritten letter makes me totally swoon. Don’t get me wrong, I love the digital world, but I really miss getting letters in the mail. Don’t you?

I just found this amazing work by Patricia Muman. Makes me want to break out all my calligraphy supplies and get to work.
