A few weeks ago my roommate asked, “Do you really want a chalkboard wall? We have the perfect wall – it would be easy.” And so we motivated. We bought some spackle and a can of Benjamin Moore chalkboard paint for $20. Here is the before, during and after:

We had a lot of paint left over in the end, so we decided to paint stripes on some of our kitchen jars. I think they turned out really well!
