Etching

This spring Martha Stewart launched her newest book, The Encyclopedia of Crafts. It’s full of clever ideas, but for some reason I was particularly inspired by the idea of glass etching. You can find the how-to instructions in the book or on the Martha Stewart site.

I think I might give away etched mason jars full of strawberry-rhubarb jam for Christmas this year. Wouldn’t it be fun to put everyone’s monograms on the jars? They can use them as water glasses or vases after the jam is gone.
