I few years ago I went to Budapest for the first time and ate sour cherries with Palinka (traditional Hungarian brandy). I just came across this recipe for “drunk cherries” on Hey, That Tastes Good, and it totally reminded me of that experience. Just like sour cherries, you can eat “drunk cherries” out of the jar, with liqueur, over angel food cake, etc. So yummy! I can’t wait to go buy some cherries and try it out!
