I was overjoyed this week to find out that the New York Botanical Gardens has an Edible Garden exhibit this summer. As their site says: “The Edible Garden is a summer-long celebration of growing great food. Through delectable exhibitions and mouth-watering programs, be inspired to grow, prepare, and eat garden-fresh produce, and understand how plants provide the food and drink essential to maintaining life and enhancing wellness.”
The Edible Garden will be open to the public from June 27th to September 13th. In addition to the regular exhibits including Martha Stewart’s culinary herb garden, they will also be hosting a variety of special events including a local food weekend with guests like Dan Barber (who just won the James Beard Outstanding Chef award!).
